Stak Bots at Conquest

This year we will being joined by Tom Norfolk the creator of Stak Bots.

"Stak Bots is a strategically chaotic battling robots card game from DogEared Games, that has just successfully funded its second expansion set on Kickstarter. It is both simple and strategic, but most importantly it is a lot of fun; Play-board-games.com awarded it 5 out of 6 with full marks for player interaction. With over 50 game variations, you can modify the game to play how you want it to. It can be tailored to either casual play, in-depth strategy and deck-building, or anywhere in between and is suitable for older kids through to adults."

He will be there to sell copies of all three expansions, demonstrate some of the many ways to play the game, answer any questions on the game, its design, rules and future. He is also hoping to run a tournament in the evening for those that are interested. More details on this to follow soon.

Warlord Games

We are delighted to announce that Warlord Games will be joining us for CONQUEST 3. They have been at all of our events, supporting us with our tournaments and bringing along a large amout of stock to sell on there stall. Warlord Games are a major part of the CONQUEST experience and we a so pleased that they we able to fit us into their busy calendar.

If you are not aware of this great wargaming company here is a little bit about them...

"Formed in 2007, Warlord Games are designers, manufacturers and distributors of finely detailed historical miniatures in plastic, metal and resin.
Since then they’ve released four core rule sets to cover everything from the Ancients, the Horse & Musket era, the Black Powder era, right through the World War Two and beyond!
They’ve developed an extensive range for each of our systems – with the core units available as Plastic miniatures, reinforcements in Metals, and larger units produced in Resin.
The vast majority of the process (from game and miniature design, sculpture, mould making, production, and packing) are performed in-house, at their HQ deep in the heart of wargaming’s spiritual home, Nottingham.
The range is constantly expanding and evolving, with releases each and every week! – they are always on the lookout for exciting new possibilities – whether it’s having our own sculptors bring new units to life, or if there are other ranges out there which fulfill gaps in the existing offering.
They are extremely proud to work in close partnership with the likes of Osprey Publishing, Mongoose Publishing, Italeri, Cutting Edge Miniatures, Empress Miniatures, and many other fantastic companies to offer the finest range of 28mm miniatures and accompanying rule systems in the world!

Dr Who at Conquest 3

Most of us love Dr Who, but some go that little bit further. This is the case the guys behind Whovian Occasions. They have collected some truly wonderful bits of Dr Who memorabilia and props which they are bringing to this years CONQUEST.

Last year they had to pull out at the last minute due to some unforseen circumstances so we are delighted that they will be able to come this year. The good news is that as the centre is now 100% finished there will be much more space than we would have had last year. This means that we not only should have the tardis and the dalek but there may also be an appearance of K9.

For more details of what Whovian occasions have to offer please look at their website : http://www.whovianoccasions.com/

We will have a demo are for this great game on the day as well for those that did not get a chance to enter the tournament or who have not played yet.

Gambit Games would like to say a massive thank you to Paul Waters for organising this for us.
